IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions
Individuals age 70½ or older may support Garth Newel Music Center by making a direct charitable contribution from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA). This type of gift - often called an IRA Charitable Rollover - can provide meaningful tax advantages while supporting music, education, and preservation.

Eligible donors may contribute up to $100,000 per year directly from a traditional or Roth IRA.
The gift is made directly to a qualified public charity, such as Garth Newel Music Center.
No goods or services may be received in return.

These gifts may count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD).
The donated amount is not included in your adjusted gross income, which may reduce your overall tax burden.
Because the distribution is excluded from income, it is not eligible for an additional charitable deduction.

Individuals may take IRA distributions starting at age 59½.
Required minimum distributions begin at age 70½.
Contributions must be made directly from the IRA custodian to Garth Newel Music Center.

In-Kind Donations & Donated Services
Garth Newel Music Center also welcomes in-kind donations that support our historic properties and daily operations. These contributions help us care for the Manor House, Kendall House, Giles Cottage, and Green Room Apartment while extending the life of the Center’s resources.
Items may include:
Furniture or household items
Appliances
Equipment or supplies for on-site residences
