Music Appreciation: From Medieval and Classical to Romantic and Modern
Wednesdays, September 24-October 29, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

An adult education, non-credit course, Music Appreciation: From Medieval and Classical to Romantic and Modern, will be held at Garth Newel Music Center in Warm Springs this fall on Wednesdays, September 24-October 29, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The course is sponsored by the non-credit program at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College and will be taught by Jaime Letourneau of Garth Newel Music Center.

“This course is for anyone who is interested in enhancing their love of music by learning how to understand its purpose and form,” says Letourneau, who received her Bachelor of Music and Masters of Music, in violin performance, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, respectively. “ We will tackle questions like what is music? and what role has it played in society through the time periods? Students will also learn to recognize different styles and periods of music in a fun and informative setting.”

Advance registration through Dabney S. Lancaster is required (Garth Newel Music Center does not handle registration for this class). Tuition is $150. For more information, contact DSLCC Non-Credit Coordinator Judy Clark at (540) 863-2863 or email jclark@dslcc.edu.
