The Summer Chamber Music Fellowship Program is a four-week, intensive chamber music program for string players and pianists aged 18-26. Highly competitive fellowships are awarded to seriously dedicated and motivated music students who will receive individualized lessons and coachings at the highest level. Preference is given to pre-formed ensembles of strings, with or without piano. Each participant receives a Fellowship Award of $2,500 which covers the cost of tuition, room, and board for five weeks at Garth Newel Music Center. Upon acceptance, each student pays a $100 registration fee.

Teresa Ling, violin
Former member of the Mariposa Piano Trio, the Aurelian Trio, and the Dakota String Quartet. Served on the faculties of University of the Pacific and University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Evelyn Grau, viola
Former member of the Atlanta Virtuosi and the Colden String Quartet. Served on the faculties of the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and Western Michigan University.
Tobias Werner, cello
Member of the Florestan Piano Trio, former member of the Sikorski String Quartet. Performed in Germany, France, Holland, Greece, Czech Republic, Romania, and the U.S.
Andrew Harley, piano
Director of the Accompanying and Piano Chamber Music Program at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Previous appointments include the University of California Los Angeles, the University of California Santa Barbara and the University of Southern California.
Guest Artists
Robbie Merfeld, piano, renowned collaborative pianist and chamber music coach returns as a perennial favorite. Founding member of Apple Hill Chamber Players, he is currently on the piano and chamber music faculties of Boston University, Harvard University, and the Longy School of Music.
