Garth Newel Music Center offers a number of educational programs throughout the year.

emerging artists fellowship Program

The Emerging Artist Fellowship is an intensive chamber music program for talented young musicians ages 18-28.  Every summer, a select group of students/young professionals spend four weeks at the Garth Newel Music Center, where they work closely with the Garth Newel Piano Quartet and other renowned faculty, and perform as part of Garth Newel’s Summer Chamber Music Festival.

Allegheny Mountain String Project

Garth Newel Music Center sponsors a project to reach the communities of Bath, Alleghany & Highland Counties with the opportunity to learn a string instrument.

Adult Amateur Chamber Music Retreat

What could be more enjoyable! Spend a weekend at Garth Newel playing chamber music with friends. Receive daily coachings, and enjoy the fun and fellowship of kindred musical souls!

Each year resident musicians from Garth Newel Music Center work with local school teachers to create age-specific, interactive programs for school performances.
